So I know a lot of people are considering reading ASOIAF right now, largely because of all the excitement leading up to the second season of the show, and I wanted to put together a list of major trigger warnings that I could point people to so they can make an informed decision as to whether or not this canon will be safe for them, as it is a grimdark and extremely triggery story.
Therefore: BELOW THE CUT IS A NON-COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF MAJOR TRIGGERS THAT APPEAR IN ASOIAF. I haven’t gone into detail about most of them as I don’t want to unwittingly spoil, but if you need any clarification or context about any of these as they appear in the books, please feel free to ask me and I’ll give you more info! And of course, if you have questions about any other triggers that are relevant to you but aren’t listed here, please don’t hesitate to ask me about them.
