If Sterek becomes canon, I don’t know how I’ll cope with the fuckery. Neither Derek nor Stiles has ever shown any signs of being gay or questioning their sexuality and they’ve certainly never shown any actual attraction to each other. I think shipping it is fine (because we all ship things that probably won’t happen onscreen) but if Jeff Davis went this way with the story I think it would be a cop out and an obvious attempt to please the Sterek shippers, but it would also be a disservice to the show itself. It would completely ignore the characterizations of the two that have been made plain throughout both seasons. And why would the writers, especially Jeff Davis, rewrite Stiles and Derek in favor of pleasing a portion of the fandom while ignoring Danny, the actual gay character that’s been gay since the show’s start?
