Sydney is 11 years old and due to an autoimmune disease, requires a kidney transplant. In an effort to help her family cope with an estimated $10,000 of medical costs that go beyond what insurance will cover for the transplant, a charity cookbook is being produced and sold by friends and coworkers. If you can submit a recipe to be included (deadline: Oct. 26), that would be a big help; if you’re interested in purchasing a cookbook (deadline: Nov. 9), that would be an even bigger help.
