Rodrigo Diaz, 22, was driving around with his girlfriend and two friends when he pulled into a driveway, thinking they had arrived at another friend’s house, his brother says. But instead he pulled into the driveway of Phillip Sailors, 69, who thought his home was being robbed, his lawyer says.

Wow. This is so disturbing. We can’t pull up in people’s driveways on accident anymore? They didn’t even get out the vehicle. Since when do headlights in your window equal robbery? You expect me to believe this man felt threatened? A vehicle backing up is CLEARLY not coming toward you… how did he perceive the car as coming toward him? He didn’t need to shoot him in his got damn head. You fired a warning shot, and they left, APOLOGIZING for something people do all the time, and that isn’t even a crime. He says this area has been plagued with gang activity, and that it’s not a racial crime, but yet if Rodrigo were blonde haired and blue eyed I bet this would not have happened.
But the only time to talk about gun control is when it’s in the hood, not when these nearly every day occurrences like this happen,right?

Like a lot of people with mental illness, I spend a lot of time fronting. It’s really important to me to not appear crazy, to fit in, to seem normal, to do the things “normal people” do, to blend in. It’s a form of assimilation for safety, but something deeper than that, where hiding my own identity for survival is also tearing me apart…
As a defense mechanism, fronting makes a lot of sense, and you hone that mechanism after years of being crazy. Fronting is what allows you to hold down a job and maintain relationships with people, it’s the thing that sometimes keeps you from falling apart. It’s the thing that allows you to have a burst of tears in the shower or behind the front seat of your car and then coolly collect yourself and stroll into a social engagement…
We are rewarded for hiding ourselves. We become the poster children for “productive” mentally ill people, because we are so organized and together. The fact that we can function, at great cost to ourselves, is used to beat up the people who cannot function.
Because unlike the people who cannot front, or who fronted too hard and fell off the cliff, we are able to “keep it together,” whatever it takes.

White Man Kills a Black Couple with Kids because they asked him not to Shoot his guns while they were playing outside with kids
HAS EVERYONE SEEN THIS? This happened recently. The story goes that this father was playing outside with his kids and went to go talk to this guy(the white man), because he was shooting his guns in the area where they were playing. The white man came over and shot him in the head FOR NO REASON. Did the same thing to the wife WHILE THE KIDS WERE WATCHING. Swear, white people don’t give a damn anymore about being discrete. This is why we need to tighten gun laws. This why we need to have a predominantly ethnic (People of Color) police force and investigation unit to combat this crap. We wonder why the Black Panther is calling for the death of George Zimmerman, but think about it. They grew up in a time where a white man could lynch you or kill you IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, and go about their business as if nothing even happened. We are now devolving back to a time where prosperity, peace, and higher knowledge will not come because whites feel as if they are being oppressed (meaning they don’t get to be superior to people of color anymore *white tears*)

Another car shot up; two unarmed Black victims killed, this time by Cleveland Police
December 3, 2012
Many of us were already reeling from the news of another unarmed Black teenager killed in Florida. 17 year old Jordan Davis was killed when 45 year old Michael Dunn objected to the loud music Jordan’s friends were playing from their car at a local gas station. Michael Dunn proceeded to pull out his gun and fire on the unarmed teenagers before he drove home. Many see this as a mirror image of the murder of Trayvon Martin.
Today another story is getting national attention, this time in Cleveland Ohio, where an unarmed Black woman and man were killed by Cleveland police officers, after the officers fired 137 rounds at the 2 victims. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the police thought they saw a possible weapon, the same excuse Michael Dunn gave when he was arrested for the murder of Jordan Davis.
Even though this incident took place last week, the officers involved in killing Malissa Williams and Timothy Russell have yet to be interviewed. According to the Cleveland Police Department they will be questioned today and it’s “standard procedure” to, “wait 72 hours before interviewing officers involved in shootings.”
Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath called the shooting a, “very regrettable situation”, but Jeffery Follmer, president of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association described Malissa Williams and Timothy Russell as “bad guys” and said the police did a “great job.” The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office removed 20 rounds from Timothy Russell’s body and 16 from Malissa Williams’ body.

San Diego, CA: Valeria Munique Tachiquin, a 32-year old mother of five and a U.S. citizen, was shot and killed by a plainclothes Border Patrol agent last Friday afternoon in the City of Chula Vista.
On Monday, October 1st, Valeria’s father, Valentin Tachiquin, will give a statement at a press conference with local human rights activists from the American Friends Service Committee and Alliance San Diego.
The fatal incident occurred in a residential area in Chula Vista on Moss Street near Broadway.Neighbors and eyewitnesses were shocked and feared for their safety when they saw a man shooting multiple times into the vehicle driven by Munique. The shooter was later identified as a plainclothes Border Patrol agent who was apparently serving a warrant in a nearby residence. Authorities have withheld his name.
The family states that Munique, a U.S. Citzen, was not the person Border Patrol was seeking.
The Border Patrol agent involved in the shooting was treated in a hospital but the extents of his injuries are unknown. Neighbors say they saw the plainclothes agent walking immediately after the incident.
“I want to know ‘why’? What caused the Border Patrol agent to shoot my daughter multiple times? My family wants answers, and we are seeking justice,” stated Valentin Tachiquin.
“There is a troubling and growing pattern of abuse and excessive use-of-force committed by Border Patrol agents; our community demands to know what led to such a brutal act by that plainclothes agent,” said Pedro Ríos, director of the American Friends Service Committee US Mexico Border Program.
This latest incidents comes at a time in which Border Patrol has been under fire by law makers who are calling for, “ a top-to-bottom review of CBP practices”.
“The Border Patrol continues to be an out of control agency that operates above the law,” said Christian Ramirez. “We need to continue to put pressure on Customs and Border Protection to call for transparency, accountability and justice.”A candle light vigil is being organized for Monday afternoon at 6 p.m. with the family of Valeria Munique Tachiquin on the corner of Broadway and Moss Street near the location where the shooting took place.

Philadelphia police are searching for information on the death of a 27-year-old transgender woman found shot in the head in the Northeast last week.
The victim, known to friends as Kyra Kruz, was well-known in the city’s gay community, said Gloria Casarez, director of the city’s Office of LGBT Affairs.
“She was a visible, friendly presence,” Casarez said. “This has been surprising and upsetting to all of us.”
Police found Kruz’s body about 5 a.m. Sept. 3 in a wooded area off the 1100 block of Adams Avenue, in the city’s Frankford section. Before the slaying, Kruz had bought food and drinks from a Wawa on Castor Avenue, about a half-mile from the crime scene, police said. Noarrests have been made.
Friends are planning a candlelight vigil Thursday at 8 p.m. at the William Way LGBT Community Center, 13th and Spruce Streets.
Kruz, formerly known as Kris Herold, grew up in Hatfield, said a childhood friend, Amanda Cerini. Raised primarily by a single mother, Kruz moved to Philadelphia after high school. Though she went by Kruz for years, she recently had her last name legally changed to Cordova, Casarez said.
Kruz worked for about a year at the Gay and Lesbian Latino AIDS Education Initiative, a nonprofit group that focuses on HIV/AIDS outreach. Elicia Gonzales, the executive director, said Kruz turned up one day in 2010, wanting to know what she could do to help. She was initially stationed at the front desk, but later got a job counseling clients.
“She just immediately made the office light up,” Gonzales said. “She didn’t think of it as her job. It was her life’s calling to give back to the community.”
Kruz was also active in gay-pride events, for which she sometimes designed costumes and choreographed performance routines. Friends said she also sang in clubs.
Kruz was private about her personal life, and friends said she always had a positive attitude. But several said that Kruz had struggled in the past with drug use, and that at times her demons threatened to catch up with her.
“She always tried to find stability. She was always looking for a better job,” said Jaci Adams, a community activist and advocate for gay rights. “Kyra hit some bumps and bruises in life, but she never lost hope.”
Police have asked anyone with information to call the homicide unit at 215-686-3334.

16-year-old Shania Gray murdered before she could testify at rape trial
A Texas man accused of raping a 16-year-old girl used social media to lure her to a meeting, abduct her from her school and drive her to a river, where he killed her to keep her from testifying against him, police and a family spokeswoman said.
The man insisted in a jailhouse interview Monday that he only wanted to talk to the teen and prove his innocence but said he was overcome by “demons” once they were face-to-face.
Franklin B. Davis, 30, of the Dallas suburb of Irving, was charged with capital murder Sunday in the death of Shania Gray. Gray was last seen alive Thursday afternoon at Hebron High School in nearby Carrollton. Her body was found Saturday in a secluded area near the Trinity River.
Carrollton police say Davis confessed to arranging a meeting with Gray under false pretenses, driving her to a trail near the river and shooting her twice with a .38-caliber pistol. According to an arrest affidavit, Gray fell into the river and called Davis by his nickname: “Why, Wish?”
Davis told police he then stepped on her neck until she stopped breathing, the affidavit said.
Carrollton police spokesman Jon Stovall said in an email that police believe Davis killed Gray because she was about to testify against him.
A spokeswoman for Gray’s family, Sherry Ramsey, told The Dallas Morning News that Gray met Davis when she babysat his two children. Ramsey said that later, after the teen declined many requests to babysit, Gray told her grandmother that Davis had raped her.
The crime was reported to Mesquite police, and Davis was charged with four counts of sexual assault of a child. The trial was scheduled to start next month.
Ramsey said Davis had warned Gray he would kill her if she told anyone about the assault.
According to an arrest warrant, Davis contacted Gray through social media and pretended to be someone else in an attempt to get information about the sexual assault case. Davis then used a pre-paid cellphone to set up a meeting with Gray at her high school on Thursday.
Davis told WFAA-TV in a jailhouse interview that he tracked Gray down because he wanted to prove his innocence in the sexual assault case.
“I needed to get some kind of evidence, some kind of proof myself to show I did not have sex with her and that she’s lying,” Davis told the television station. He said he didn’t intend to harm Gray but was overcome in the moment.
“I was fighting demons,” Davis told the station. “It was like a different person was in me. It wasn’t me.”
Davis told authorities that Gray was surprised to see him but got into his car when he told her he wanted to talk to her about the sexual assault case. He said he then drove her to the remote area.
Stovall said police believe Gray was killed within an hour after she was picked up.

Bronx community mourns man shot dead by NYPD
September 8, 2012Earlier today, 20-year-old Bronx Resident, Reynaldo Cuevas was shot and killed by an NYPD officer outside the bodega where he works. According to witnesses, Cuevas had tripped while attempting to escape an armed robbery inside the bodega. Immediately after, a 42nd precinct officer shot his gun, killing Cuevas, who was later dragged by the officer some 20-feet along the sidewalk.
Afterwards community members took to the streets in anger, later marching to the nearby precinct and ending the evening on the corner where Cuevas was shot.
The shooting occurred just one block away from where unarmed 19-year-old Jateik Reed was recently beaten by 42nd precinct officers.

Handcuffed Man Shot in Back of Police Car
A 21-year-old man was found shot in the head while handcuffed in the back of a patrol car Saturday night. Now police have launched an investigation to determine what happened.
Chavis Carter was a passenger in a pickup truck that was stopped by police in Jonesboro, Ark., Saturday night, according to KAIT, an ABC-affiliated television station. An officer reportedly found some marijuana, and ran Carter’s information. He was wanted on a warrant out of Mississippi, so officers placed him in a patrol car.
“As protocol, he was handcuffed behind his back, double-locked and searched,” said Jonesboro Police Department Sgt. Lyle Waterworth in an interview with WREG-TV.
Just minutes later, police said they heard a thumping noise, turned around and found Carter shot in the head.
Waterworth said he thinks Carter pulled out a hidden gun and shot himself. “Any given officer has missed something on a search, you know, be it drugs, be it knives, be it razor blades,” he said. “This instance, it happened to be a gun.”
His mother, Teresa Carter, disagrees. “I think they killed him,” she said. “My son wasn’t suicidal.”
Carter said she was also told her son was shot in the right temple, although he was left-handed. “I mean, I just want to know what really happened,” she told WREG-TV. “That’s all I want to know.”
The two officers who were present when Carter was found shot were placed on administrative leave.

“Darius Simmons was by all accounts a good kid. The fun loving 6th grader was simply moving a garbage can in front of his home when his neighbor, 75 year old John Henry Spooner confronted him with a shotgun and accused him of stealing from his home. Darius, who was in school the time of the robbery, denied being involved with the theft. John Henry Spooner then proceed to shoot Darius in his chest, while he had his hands raise showing Spooner he was unarmed. His mom, who was watching in horror, ran to Darius to see if she could find a pulse, she couldn’t. Darius, 13 years old and unarmed, was murdered in cold blood in front of his mother.”
Can I just say it doesn’t matter if he wasn’t a good kid. He could have actually stolen what the fuckhead thought he did and guess what, he still doesn’t deserve to have been shot.

The Systematic Murder of Black Children
During a twenty three month period between 1979 and 1981 over 30 Black children were killed in Atlanta, terrorizing the Afro-American population. In July, 1980, after 14 children had been murdered, the mothers of some of the victims formed the Committee to Stop the Children’s Murders. They pointed out that a systematic campaign of murder was taking place and denounced the Atlanta police for failing to seriously investigate any of the killings. At first the police denied that there was any connection between the killings. The murders continued, with one child disappearing about every twenty-five days. People who lived in and around the Techwood housing project and the other poor Afro-American neighborhoods where the victims were kidnapped generally assumed that the klan or a similar racist organization was responsible.
Atlanta city officials created a highly publicized commission to investigate the murders. It is now clear that the main purpose of this commission was to cover up the fact that klansmen were carrying out these murders. Atlanta police commissioner Lee Patrick Brown told the people: “We can’t say the murders here are racially motivated because we don’t know the motivation.” The FBI, claiming to have used “scientific methods” to draw up a “psychological profile” of the killer, declared that he was a Black man from a broken family. The commission even paid for a “psychic” to come to Atlanta. She claimed that she could “see” the killer and backed up the FBI’s assertion that he was Afro-American.
Special attention was given to dispelling the idea that the klan was involved. The FBI declared that there was no indication of a “group effort” in the murders. In June, 1981, Georgia Governor Busbee and Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) officials announced with great fanfare that they had thoroughly investigated the activity of the klan in Georgia and had concluded that it did not present a serious threat to the people of Georgia. Dr. Joseph Lowrey, the traitorous liar who heads the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, was called upon to support this idea, telling the people that he did not believe the klan had anything to do with the murders.
It has now been confirmed that police and government officials not only knew that the klan was committing the murders but, in fact, knew the specific individuals responsible.
The Evidence Against the Klan
The evidence that exposes the klan’s responsibility for the murders is contained in police documents. The most illuminating of these were enclosed in a package “anonymously” sent to Wayne Williams’ lawyers.
The evidence centers around the Sanders family. Members of this family belong to the National States Rights Party / New Order of the Ku Klux Klan (NSRP), which is headquartered in Marrieta, an Atlanta suburb. Don Sanders is National Secretary of the NSRP and his father, Carleton, and five of his brothers, Charles, Terry, Ricky, Jerry and James, are members of the organization. The NSRP, headed by J.B. Stoner and Ed Fields, is one of the most rabid racist and fascist organizations in this country.
Members of the Sanders family have long criminal records including convictions for child molestation, murder, burglary, assault and battery, wife beating, statutory rape, armed robbery and narcotics charges. They are long time drug dealers.
The police documents include statements of police agents closely associated with the Sanders family. One of these operatives reported that members of the family told him that the klan was going to execute one Black boy a month, and after killing 20 children they were going to start killing Black women. This informant reported that Charles Sanders had pointed out to him a 14-year-old Black youth named Lubie Geter and said “See that little Black …? I’m going to get him I’m going to kill him I’m going to choke the Black … to death.” Several weeks later Geter was found strangled to death.
There is other evidence linking the Sanders family to Lubie Geter’s murder. Geter was last seen in a shopping center near where the Sanders family lives. An eyewitness saw Geter get into a car with a tall white man with a jagged scar on his neck on the day he disappeared. Carleton Sanders is tall and has a jagged scar on his neck. Another witness saw Geter on the same day in a blue Ford with two white men. Charles Sanders drove a blue Ford. Hairs of a Siberian husky dog were found on Geter’s body. Charles Sanders owned a Siberian husky.
Another victim, 11-year-old Earl Lee Terrell, was with Lubie Geter when Geter incurred Charles Sanders’ wrath by accidentally running into his parked car with a go-cart. Terrell disappeared near the same shopping center where Geter was abducted. Besides Terrell, four other victims were friends of Lubie Geter’s.
Twelve-year-old Charles Stephens, the 15th victim, was found murdered in a trailer park frequented by members of the Sanders family. On his body caucasian head hairs were found, along with more Siberian husky hairs. Altogether, husky hairs were found on the bodies of at least fifteen of the murdered children.
Dozens of witnesses reported seeing men dressed as police or security guards or wearing other types of uniforms with many of the young victims the last time they were seen alive. The Sanders family kept a stockpile of police and other uniforms.
Another informant told police that “Don Sanders had direct knowledge of who was responsible for the killings.” On April 1, 1981 the following telephone conversation between Don and Terry Sanders was recorded by a police wiretap:
Don: “…I might get out and ride around a little bit, and I might come by there.”
Terry: “Go find you another little kid, another little kid?”
Don: “Yeah, scope out some places. We’ll see you later.”
